IV. Cookies
We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you use by means of a characteristic string, through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer and therefore cannot cause any damage.
Cookies may contain data that enables recognition of the device used. In some cases, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable. Cookies cannot directly identify a user.
A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. With regard to their function, we use the following cookies:
- Service provision cookies (technically necessary cookies): These are essential to navigate the website, use basic functions and ensure website security; they do not collect information about you for marketing purposes and do not store which websites you have visited;
- Performance optimization cookies: These collect information about how you use our website, which pages you visit and, for example, whether errors occur; they do not collect information that could identify you — all information collected is anonymous and is only used to improve our websites and understand what interests our users;
- Advertising cookies: These are used to provide website users with advertising tailored to their needs on the website or offers from third parties and to measure the effectiveness of these offers;
- Sharing cookies: These are used to improve the interactivity of our websites with other services (e.g., social networks).
Where cookies are used that are not strictly technically necessary, each use constitutes data processing that is only permitted with your explicit and active consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time under “Cookie settings”.
Any use of cookies that is strictly technically necessary is permissible to protect our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
V. Analytics Tools
We do not use analytics tools.
VI. Fonts
Google Font API
These websites use Google Font API for the uniform display of fonts. It is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We have integrated Google Font API locally, meaning the fonts are loaded from our server. This means no connection to Google servers is established and no personal data is transmitted to Google.
Further information on Google Font API can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
VII. Facebook Chat Plugin
We use the Facebook Chat Plugin on our websites so that you can contact us quickly and easily and ask questions.
You can use the plugin either as a guest or after logging into your Facebook account.
The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, i.e. the plugin is used only after you have given your consent in our cookie settings.
Due to the plugin, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s server when you visit our website. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of this tool. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our website. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or are not logged in, it is possible that the provider obtains your IP address and other identifiers and uses them to create profiles.
The collected information is stored on Facebook servers, including in the USA. For these cases, the provider states that it has adopted a standard comparable to the former EU–US Privacy Shield and has committed to complying with applicable data protection laws in international data transfers.
You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out up to the revocation. You can revoke your consent at any time under “Cookie settings”.

By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the basic data mentioned above such as IP address and timestamp are transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account you are logged into or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want this assignment, you must log out before activating the link. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or tailoring its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users not logged in) to provide tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google.
The collected information is stored on Google servers, including in the USA. For these cases, the provider states that it has adopted a standard comparable to the former EU–US Privacy Shield and has committed to complying with applicable data protection laws in international data transfers.
